What Consumers Should Know

On November 6, 2020 the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development announced it is advising consumers not to eat a romaine lettuce product packed as a single head under the Tanimura & Antle brand.

Tests from a routine sample of this lettuce collected at a Walmart in Comstock Park, MI has been confirmed positive for E. coli O157:H7. The lettuce was quickly tracked to this one firm in California.

The company has issued a recall of this product and is providing details about which specific products should not be consumed here.
